How to sync data in or out of your Google Calendar via Surfboard

Updated over a month ago

Surfboard directly integrates with Google Calendar to make managing your schedule as easy as possible:

  • Your shifts and activities will be copied from your Surfboard schedule to your Google Calendar.

  • Any time a new schedule or update is published, your calendar will update right away.

  • You can control the availability settings of activities, allowing you to seamlessly integrate with other booking tools like Calendly or Hubspot.

We offer a range of configurations to suit each organisation's needs including the ability to sync schedules into your primary calendar, or auto sync meetings and events into Surfboard. Speak to your Customer Success Manager to find the right set up for you.

If your manager wants time to appear free, e.g. so time can be booked with you, they can change the setting by editing the activity in the schedule.

What availability (busy/free) do shifts show as?

Shifts will show as 'free' by default, to prevent them from blocking out your availability in the calendar.
