Start a round

  1. Tap the center Play button.

  2. Choose your course: the “Nearest golf course” card suggests the one you're at, Search for a course lets you search by name (search works even offline and handles typos), and Replay the last round brings back your previous setup.

  3. Tap Play this course: your round setup page opens.

If your club has several courses, they show up as tabs at the top of the page: you can switch courses without going back to search.

Set up your round

The setup page reads from top to bottom:

  • Input mode: “Simple” or “At my ball”. See the difference between the two modes.

  • Tee: choose Men or Women, then your tee color.

  • Combination: “18 holes”, “Front 9” or “Back 9”. A 9-hole course is played in full.

  • Multiplayer (Premium): add up to 3 partners, see below.

  • Round options: “Detailed putting” (in At my ball mode), “Auto lie detection” and “Competition mode”.

  • Advanced settings: “Hide from stats”, “Forward tees” and “Course zones”. Round options and advanced settings in detail.

Playing with partners

With Teech Premium, you can add up to 3 partners to your round. You enter their scores hole by hole and they receive the round's scorecard by email.

  1. In the Multiplayer section, tap Add a partner.

  2. Type their first and last name or their email: Teech suggests the partners you've already played with and, if you allow it, your contacts. Pick one to fill in their details in one tap.

  3. Enter their index (leave it empty if they don't have one: they'll play off 54) and their tee, then tap Add.

  • People you've already played with on this course appear under Add a partner: the + adds them straight away.

  • Tap a partner to edit their details or remove them from the round.

  • The email is required: it's how your partner receives the round.

Choosing your tee

Choose a tee that suits your level and gender. In Teech Golf, your choice of tee only affects calculations (score, playing index, stats).

For distances, the map uses your exact position on the course. If the tees have been moved forward, no problem: stand on the tee and Teech Golf shows you the right distance to the green.

In scouting mode (if you start a round without being on the course), the app shows distances from the back tees.

If you're not sure which tee to pick, you can read the French Golf Federation's article on the subject (in French).

Your course isn't mapped yet

If the course map hasn't been imported yet, the course page says so. Tap Start round anyway: the Teech team gets your request and makes this course a priority. Your request shows up in your Teech messages (Profile â€ș Help) and you'll be notified as soon as the map is ready.

During the round

  • Next hole: when you walk to the next tee, the app offers to move on to the next hole. You can always say no.

  • Battery: if your battery is below 40% at the start, the app suggests Battery saver mode. You can also turn it on during the round (⚙) or in Profile â€ș Game.

  • Offline: you can start and play a round without a connection. At the end, “Save later” saves it as soon as you're back online.

  • To get back to a round in progress, tap Resume (the center button).

  • Partners: to add or remove partners during the round, open Round settings (⚙) â€ș Multiplayer.
