Boundary layers

When creating a boundary, you can choose the Base Layer and which Overlays are shown.

2. Overlay options will change based on which type of profile you are viewing. The two types of layers are 'Base Layers' and 'Overlays'

You have five base layer choices when creating or viewing a boundary:

When you want to map a new field it is helpful to see existing fields for the current farm:

1. Below is an example of all of the fields within a farm:

A. Boundary Maps flagged displays the outline of the field boundary.

B. Clustered flagged groups the markers together so number counts display instead of markers on top of one another. As you zoom in the field map, the marker will display.

C. There are 3 different size options for the marks, Auto Size, Normal, and Compact.

D. Below is an example of a Compact mark marker selection. You can see the icons are much smaller.

2. Below is an example of an SSURGO overlay (Soil Survey Geographic Database layer) and is the digital soils data produced and distributed by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). This overlay is available while in the Map View or while creating a new farm, field or planting boundary. If you would like to make a Zone from Ssurgo data, see Creating Zones help guide.

3. Some other available overlays include Air Temperature, Wind, and Radar. These are also available in the Map View or while creating a new farm, field, or planting boundary:

A. The slider in the bottom right is an opacity scale. Sliding this to the left allows the satellite imagery to show through.

B. The color scale to the right of the opacity scale displays the meaning behind the colors. In this example, the blue that is selected shows 10mph wind speeds.
