Crop Records
The Crop Record feature is fully supported on both desktop and mobile browsers. A Crop Record is documentation of an operation either to be done or previously completed. There are currently 3 categories of Crop Records available.
Recommendation - A record of what is being recommended to be applied or to occur.
Work Order - A record to complete what was recommended or should occur.
Complete - A record of what was completed or occurred.
Each record can be created independently of each other, or if a Recommendation is created it may be converted to a Work Order or directly to a Completion. A Work Order may also be converted to a Completion.
4. For each category, there are several operations to select depending on the level of access. The idea behind each type is to organize records by Operation type. These Primary operations are defaults and maybe a custom name if preferred.

Creating A Crop Record
To create a Crop Record navigate to Crop Records using the feature navigator.
2. Select the '+' in the bottom right corner.
3. Select the Record Type and Operation
A. Season - The current season will default but select a different season if necessary.
B. Record Type - The default is a Recommendation. Other options include a Work Order or Completion.
C. Operations - Select the appropriate operation category. Some operations types have optional drop-down options for more specific operations.
4. For this record we will be completing an application recommendation.
5. Scrolling down the page will display additional options.
A. Workflow - If workflows have been set up, they will be displayed in the drop-down menu. Selecting a workflow ensures that the crop records must follow a predetermined set of steps. For example, if each Recommendation must first be approved by an Inventory Clerk before going to an Operations Manager, the workflow may be defined, so it moves through that workflow. If a record does not need to be applied to a workflow, simply skip this step.
B. Name - Use this option to create a custom name for a record (For example, creating a Work Order for Field Sampling, enter the name of "Field Sample" to quickly identify these types of Work Orders)
6. Move to the next step of the crop record by selecting step 2 (Location) at the top of the screen or selecting 'Next' at the bottom of the screen.
7. If a grower was previously selected using the location navigator, the grower will be preselected in the 'Grower' drop-down. Select 'Add Location' to begin adding fields.
8. In the location selection window, all plantings for the selected season will be displayed. A new planting can be quickly added by selecting the 'Add Planting' option beside the field name.
9. Locations(fields) can be added by simply selecting the field from the list, selecting the field on the map, or using the filter options.
10. The filter options can be used to quickly select a group of fields based on certain features set up within the planting, i.e. commodity, and variety. There are a couple of different ways to access these.
A. Settings Slider Bar - Opens the settings window to filter by commodity, farm, and variety
B. Commodity - Use this filter to select by commodity.
C. Variety - Use this filter to select locations by variety.
D. Farm - Use this filter to select locations by farm.
11. Select 'Apply' to see the filtered location results and then choose the desired locations or select the check mark to select all the filter results.
12. Click the arrow in the upper left corner to navigate out of the location selection tool.
13. Selecting the arrow to the right of the location allows for manual editing of the treatment area.
14. Next, proceed to the 'Timing' section.
A. Target Date - Use this to set the desired date for the application
B. Expiration Date - Use this to set the date for the record to expire. This date should represent how long the record is valid to complete.
C. Phase - Select the phase that best represents when this record will occur.
D. Timing Note - Use this section to enter timing notes such as "apply before irrigation".
15. Moving to Step 4 of the Crop record (Application). Enter the required information.
A. Tank Size - Enter the tank size that will be used for the application.
B. Method - Select the appropriate method from the drop-down.
C. Application - click 'add' to choose the correct products for the record, and enter the rates, cost, and treatment justification. Multiple products may be added.
If the crop record is being used to record a seed treatment, the seed weight calculator can be used. Add the seed treatment as the product and the product details will appear. To learn more about the seed weight calculator, please refer here.
16. Commonly used products can be bundled together as a tank mix and saved for use at a later time. After adding the products, select 'Save as a Tank Mix' to name and save the tank mix.
It is important to note that tank mixes are commodity-specific and will not be available for other commodities.
17. Pre-harvest and re-entry intervals can be manually added for the tank mix as well as for individual products. Select 'Done'.
18. Once the tank mix has been saved, the products can quickly be reviewed by selecting the arrow to the right of the tank mix line item.
A. Arrow Icon - View/edit the tank mix.
B. Trash Can - Delete the tank mix.
C. Done - Closes the edit tank mix window.
19. Lastly, move to Step 5 (Extras) of the Crop Record.
20. Select 'Add' to any of the extras to begin entering information.
A. Services - Select a service from the drop-down if applicable. For example, Custom Application fee if a retailer is writing the recommendation and will be charging an application fee.
B. Labor - Select the applicator from the list if applicable. This includes selecting a specific role, or person, and entering a time estimate.
C. Equipment - If the equipment is set up, use this option to capture which records go against which pieces of equipment.
D. Comments - Add comments to the record. Comments may be saved as a template for future use. When adding a comment, there are options to color, bold, italicize, and adjust the font size for a comment. A comment will be displayed on the Crop Record printable.
