TSC - Chain Approvals

Premium users retain control over setting the approval dates for their chains. Premium users can also delegate this responsibility to their suppliers to allow them to approve chains.

If you are a Premium user you will automatically be able to approve all of your supply chains. If you are not a Premium user you will only be able to approve the supply chains you have been delegated to approve by the Premium user in the chain.

APPROVING A CHAIN

  1. On the Chains section locate the chain you wish to approve and click Chain details:

  2. In the screen that opens click Create a new approval or Renew:

  3. Enter the Expiry date of the new approval and add any Comments:

  4. Click OK to complete the approval.

Please note: The user decides what date the chain approval is set at. Muddy Boots do not control this process.

APPROVE ALL BUTTON

Premium users are able to enjoy the use of the ‘Approve all’ button. This will allow the user to quickly approve all chains in a given list and apply a common date to all of these chains.

  1. To use the Approve all function, firstly ensure all the chains you wish to approve are displayed on screen – you may wish to use the filters to do this. Select the required Chains and select Approve (multiple):

  1. A pop-up will be displayed informing you of how many chains will be approved. You can enter the Expiry date for all of these chains as well as any Comments to be applied. Remember, the comments will be applied across all chains in the selected list:

  1. Click Approve to approve all of the selected chains.

REVOKE AN APPROVAL

  1. Premium users can revoke approved chains. To complete this task, click on the Chains tab and locate the chain. You can use the filters on the right hand side to help search for the chain:

  1. Click on Chain details under Actions:

  1. Click Revoke:

  1. You will be able to enter a Reason for revocation:

  1. Click OK to confirm.

This will then appear within the chain’s audit trail:

RENEW AN APPROVAL

  1. To renew an approval, click on the Chains tab and locate the chain:

  2. Click Chain details found under Actions:

  3. Click Renew:

  4. Select the Expiry date and add Comments if required:

  5. Click OK to complete the renewal.

Similar to revoking a chain, the audit trail will be updated once the renewal is saved.

CREATE A COMMENT ON A CHAIN

  1. To add a comment to a chain, locate the chain and click Chain details:

  2. Click Create new comment:

  4. In the pop-up box, enter your comment and click OK:

  5. The comment will be saved in the Chain history section for you to see.

DELEGATE CHAIN APPROVAL RESPONSIBILITY

Premium users can delegate responsibility of approving chains to their supply base. This will then allow the selected supplier(s) to approve the chains they sit in with the Premium user.

  1. To delegate chain approval ability, click on Settings:

  2. The following page will appear, splitting out your suppliers between direct and indirect suppliers:

  3. Select which supplier(s) you wish to delegate chain approval ability to by ticking the box next to the supplier(s). You can also use the Select all button to quickly select all suppliers in the list:

  4. Click Save to finish. The selected suppliers will then have the ability to approve the chains they are in with you.
