You can use TELUS Supply Chain to find the contact details of all of the users in your supply chains. You can use the filters on the right hand side of the screen to search for all users of a specific organisation, or use the search box if you know the name of the user you are looking for.
THE PEOPLE SCREEN
The People screen will display all users from all of your supplier organisations. It is likely that there will be some users you do not know and do not deal with; this is to be expected. Even if you did not create the user for the supplier, they may have been created by another system user who is also linked to that supplier.
ADD A NEW USER
You can add as many users to your own organisation as you require, as well as to your suppliers.
ADDING A USER TO YOUR OWN ORGANISATION
To add a new user to your own organisation, either select Add a New Person from the People tab or click on the People tab and then click on Add a New Person on the right of the screen:
The following page will appear:
Select the person’s organisation as your own organisation and enter the first name, last name and email address of the user. (Please make sure the email address is correct before saving as once saved the email address cannot be amended.)
Select the person’s Role as Administrator, Standard or Read only. You can also choose whether this user can approve chains. Tick the ‘Can approve’ box if you want them to be able to approve chains:
If you have internal organisations set up, you can chose to associate specific sites with this new user by clicking Associate organisations:
To share the person with customers and/or suppliers, click on Select organisations:
Then select the organisations from the list. This is split between your customers and suppliers. You can also search for organisations in the search box:
Click Save.
Enter the person’s position in the organisation, their work telephone, fax and mobile telephone numbers.
Tick the Invite User box to send an email notification to the user.
Tick the Data Sharing box to confirm that you have permission to add this persons data to the TELUS Supply Chain system.
Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
The new user will receive an email alert with an invitation link to join TELUS Supply Chain.
ADDING A USER TO ONE OF YOUR SUPPLIERS
You can also add multiple users to your suppliers. To do this:
Select your supplier from the drop-down list. This list contains all of your current suppliers.
Enter the first name, last name and email address of the user.
Enter the person’s position in the organisation, their work telephone, fax and mobile telephone numbers.
Role – If this is the first user for your supplier, you will not be able to choose the user’s role. This is because the first user for each organisation must be an administrator. Any subsequent users added can have their role chosen.
Tick the Invite user box to send an email notification to the user.
Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
If the supplier already has a user, that existing user will receive an email informing them that you have created a new user for that organisation. They will have to confirm the new user is genuine. As soon as they do this, the user you have created will receive their invite to the system.
DELETE A USER
An administrator can delete a user from their own organisation. To do this:
Click on the People tab and locate the user you wish to delete. Then click Edit in the Actions column:
Click on Delete person on the right side of the screen:
HIDE A USER
You are able to hide a user from your view if you do not want them appearing on the People screen.
To hide a user, go to the People screen and locate the user you wish to hide.
This user will then be hidden from view.
SHOW A USER
If you have hidden a user, you can restore them to your view:
