In Crop Assessments:

  • General section:

    • New selection of Climate values (Tropical Wet, Cool, Temperate, Moist etc)

    • Harvest year is now typeable as a direct number rather than choosing from a drop down.

    • Latitude/Longitude (where used) is no longer a manual input; it is now determined automatically for the site.

  • Soil section:

    • Soil Moisture input is no longer used.

    • New inputs for 'How many years ago was this measured?'

    • New inputs for Soil Characteristics.

  • Crop inputs section:

    • New input Fertiliser Application Date for when fertilisers are used.

  • Land Management section:

    • More precise, in that the following base values must be entered when Land Management is selected.

      • Initial Use (cultivated, paddy, perennial etc)

      • Initial Tillage (full, reduced etc)

      • Initial Carbon Inputs (high C input with manure, low C input etc)

    • A new repeatable set of changes which can be added, 1 set per year. For example - in 2021 the Tillage was changed to X value and then in 2023 the tillage was changed again, along with the carbon input.

In Dairy Assessments:

  • General section:

    • New selection of Climate values on (Tropical Wet, Cool, Temperate, Moist etc).

    • Latitude/Longitude is now determined automatically for the site.

  • Grazing section:

    • New field Fertiliser Application Date for when fertilisers are used.

For existing Assessments already started:

  • Submitted read-only Assessments:

    • These will remain read-only, however you may notice some of the above changes may impact how some question responses are displayed. For example, you may see new fields such as Soil Characteristics which are empty (and read-only). Please be assured that this will not affect already-submitted results, and no action is required.

  • In-flight Assessments:

    • You may notice the new fields mentioned above and that some fields you have already typed in have disappeared.

    • Climate type (of Temperate or Tropical) will now be blank due to this field being replaced by the new Climate field. This has the same label but has a new list of items to choose from.
