Yes! When you work through Temper Staff, you’re covered for different situations that might come up during your shift:
Liability and accident insurance
This is basically your safety net if something unexpected happens at work.
You’re covered if you accidentally hurt someone or damage something while working. For example, if you spill something on a customer’s laptop or knock over a display in a store.
It also includes coverage for certain legal costs if there’s a dispute or something needs to be handled legally (as long as it’s approved).
You’re protected if you get hurt or if your personal belongings get damaged during your shift.
What’s not covered?
There are a few exceptions:
Damage to your own stuff, if it’s your fault.
Anything involving motor vehicles (see below).
Damage caused on purpose or by breaking the rules.
The cost of redoing work if you didn’t do it correctly the first time.
Special case: UberEats shifts
Doing a delivery shift for UberEats through Temper? Good news, Uber has its own insurance that covers you during those shifts.
It covers damage you cause to other people or their property.
You're not covered when driving a motorized vehicle, damaging your own property, or driving unsafely. Stay protected by following these road safety guidelines.
You don’t need to do anything to activate this, Uber handles it automatically. Do contact them if you want to file a claim.
Important: If you're using a motorized vehicle (like a scooter or moped), you're responsible for having your own legal insurance for it. Uber and Temper don’t cover motorized vehicles under their regular insurance.
