  1. What is Temper Staff?
    Temper Staff is the new app and platform for short-term employment. Unlike Temper Freelance, your contract will be a labour agreement, not an assignment agreement, making you an employee of Temper during your shifts. There are quite some differences between Temper Staff and Temper Freelance. Read about them here.

  2. What type of contract do I have?
    Each shift will have a separate labour agreement. The contract is classified as a phase A (1+2) contract with a temporary employment clause. This means you can have several labour agreements throughout the year. You will only get paid for the shifts you work. Read more about contracts here.

  3. Why should I sign up on Temper Staff?
    Temper Staff offers social securities and potential extras while you can maintain your flexibility. Choose your own shifts or let Temper suggest the best ones. No invoicing required, payments are guaranteed and made weekly. You’re always insured while working. There’s no 660-hour limit, so you can work unlimited hours for a single company.   4. How much do I earn for a shift?
    Each shift will have a different expected wage. In line with all Dutch regulations, the hiring company will set an hourly wage. This is the basic gross wage and might already include surcharges for working at night, in the weekend or a public holiday. Your net pay might be lower than as a freelancer, but you’ll have more payment security with guaranteed weekly payments and the advantage of building up a pension. Read more about salary here.

  5. What jobs can I find on Temper Staff?
    Currently, jobs are available in hospitality, catering, delivery and logistics, though not yet in every region. Just download the app, finish signing up, and explore all the available jobs in one place!

  6. Can I still work freelancer shifts?
    Yes, of course! You can still work FreeFlexer shifts on Temper Freelance after you sign up for Temper Staff! Up to you for which shift you want to apply! Shifts posted on Temper Staff cannot be worked as a freelancer however. It’s also important to note that - while you can work shifts on both platforms - you do have to be careful not to get accepted for shifts on both platforms that overlap. Read more about this here.
