In this article you'll find out about the geofence guide ring tool and how it can be used to support you creating precision geofences (safezones) and worksite limits.

Why use the guide ring tool?

  • To measure a set distance away from the outer edge of the entire safe zone

  • To save time placing multiple rulers (using the ruler tool), making site creation more efficient

  • Check safe distances even quicker when reviewing projects before approval

πŸ’‘ Tended tip: the guide ring will move at the chosen distance away from the safe zone edge when you edit your safe zone - even on complex curves!

How to use the geofence guide ring tool

  1. On the site planning page, find the geofence (safe zone) you want to measure from

  2. Right click on the safe zone (using your mouse or laptop trackpad)

  3. From the menu, click the distance you want to measure

  4. A measurement ring will appear around the entire safe zone

  5. You can then use this guide to measure safe distances away from the safe zone

πŸ’‘ Tended tip: you can edit the safe zone limits and the geofence guide ring will move with any changes, always showing the set distance away from the outer edge of the safe zone
