In this article, we'll take you through how you can easily request for a geofence to be created, quickly through your Tended Dashboard.
Please note: this feature is only available to certain users depending on contractual agreements. Please speak to your account manager for more information.
What information will I need to request a geofence?
Your details - so we can get in touch with progress updates and any questions
Project dates - start date and end date for your project inc. any cyclical information
Geofencing project information - Unique ID, site address or W3W, TRID(s), ELR(s) and mileages
Off-track geofences - Any other site areas needing geofences, i.e. safe access points or walkways
Type or work - we'll ask you to confirm the type or works for the project i.e. Line block, separated etc.
Supporting documents - you can also attach the safe work pack, track diagrams or any other useful information for your project
How to request a geofence
Log in to your Tended Dashboard
Click the help "?" button in the top right corner of your Dashboard
A menu will pop up, then scroll down to the bottom of this menu
You'll see "Request a geofence". Click "Start here"
Now, read the questions and type in your answers to request a geofence
Check your answers by clicking the arrows in the bottom left of the menu
When you're happy, click "Submit"
You'll now receive an email confirmation that your geofence request has been submitted. Then, you'll get emails updating you on the progress of your request.
What happens after I request a geofence?
After you submit a request in the Dashboard, you'll be sent an email to confirm it's been received by the team.
The team may get in touch with you over the following few days with any questions to make sure the project is created accurately and quickly.
You'll be notified once the project has been created and is ready to be accessed in your Dashboard.
