If you're having trouble connecting Stripe to enable direct book sales on your Tertulia PRO website, there are a few common reasons why the connection may not be completing successfully.
1. Direct sales are currently only available for U.S.-based authors
At this time, direct book sales through your Tertulia site are only supported for authors located in the United States. If your Stripe account is registered outside the U.S., you may not be able to complete the connection process.
2. Your Stripe account needs additional verification
Stripe may require additional information before activating your account. This can include:
Identity verification
Business information
Tax details
Bank account verification
Log in directly to your Stripe dashboard to check whether any account requirements are pending.
3. There's an issue with your bank account
Stripe must be able to verify the bank account associated with your account before payouts can be enabled. Double-check that:
Your bank account information is correct
Your account is fully verified
Your bank supports Stripe payouts
4. The connection process was interrupted
Browser settings or expired authorization sessions can sometimes interfere with the Stripe connection process.
Try the following troubleshooting steps:
Log out and start the connection process again
Use an incognito/private browser window
Try a different browser
Temporarily disable ad blockers or privacy extensions
5. There may be an account-specific issue
In some cases, the issue may be unique to your Stripe account or require assistance from our team.
