Why is my email campaign being blocked?

Understanding restricted words and phrases in your email campaigns

When creating an email campaign with Tertulia PRO, you may occasionally receive an error message saying:

"Your email content contains words or patterns that are not allowed. Please remove or rephrase: [restricted phrase]."

Don't worry! This usually means your campaign contains a word or phrase flagged by our email content filter.

Why does this happen?

Tertulia uses an email content filter to help protect email deliverability and reduce the risk of campaigns being flagged as spam.

Certain promotional phrases can trigger this filter, even when you're sending a legitimate email to your readers.

For example, phrases such as:

  • Limited time

  • Act now

  • Free!!!

  • Guaranteed

  • Risk-free

  • Urgent

may prevent you from sending the campaign.

How can I fix it?

The easiest solution is to rephrase the flagged wording in your email.

Once you've updated your wording:

  1. Return to your email campaign in the Tertulia dashboard.

  2. Find the phrase mentioned in the error message.

  3. Replace it with a more natural alternative.

  4. Save your changes.

  5. Try scheduling or sending your campaign again.

In most cases, rephrasing the flagged text will resolve the issue.

Does this mean my email is spam?

Not at all! Your email may be perfectly legitimate. Our filter simply identifies certain words and patterns that can be associated with spam-like messaging.
We recommend using clear, conversational language when communicating with your readers.

What if my campaign is still blocked?

If you've updated the wording and are still receiving an error, please contact our support team at authors@tertulia.com.

Include the error message you're seeing so we can help identify what's preventing your campaign from being scheduled.
