Greyed-Out Transactions Explained

Quick Summary: Some transactions in the app appear greyed out because they have been excluded from calculations based on the configuration settings chosen by your administrator. These transactions remain visible for reference and data review but are not factored into forecasts, lead time, or supply risk calculations.

The Purpose of the Transaction Cutoff

A transaction appears greyed out because its date is older than the cutoff date defined by a Client Administrator. This feature improves the accuracy of the app’s calculations by ignoring old, irrelevant data while maintaining full visibility for data cleanup and audit purposes.

By excluding outdated transactions, the app ensures that all calculations, such as forecasts, replenishment recommendations, and supplier metrics, are based only on current, meaningful data.

For example, an overdue sales order from three years ago should not influence today’s demand forecast. Instead of being completely hidden, it appears greyed out so you can decide whether it should be retained or removed in your ERP system.

Where Greyed-Out Transactions Appear

Greyed-out transactions can be viewed across multiple screens where historical or open orders are displayed:

  • Stock Inquiry > Sales Orders tab

  • Stock Inquiry > Purchase Orders tab

  • Order Schedule / Multi-Item Forecasting > Sales Orders modal

  • Order Schedule / Multi-Item Forecasting > Purchase Orders modal

How to Configure the Cutoff

Client Administrators control this setting in the configuration area:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Configuration > Import/Export > Open Transactions panel.

  2. Specify a cutoff date for overdue transactions to exclude them from calculations.

  3. Save the configuration changes to apply them system-wide.
