TetherX offers a flexible hybrid storage system, allowing you to save video surveillance and other data either locally on your TetherBox, in the cloud, or both. You can choose to store a lower-quality version in the cloud while keeping high-resolution footage locally, store exclusively in the cloud, or opt for local storage alone—it’s entirely customisable to your needs.

When accessing TetherX through the web platform or native apps, the system will automatically stream the highest quality footage available. For instance, if the cloud holds the highest quality video, it will stream from there; if the TetherBox has the best footage but is offline, it will stream the lower quality from the cloud. If the TetherBox is online with the highest quality available, it will stream from there. This ensures that, regardless of the state of the system, you’re always viewing the best available quality at any given time.

You do not need to use a separate app, or separate credentials to access cloud footage, it is all integrated seamlessly.
