Activating a TetherBox is part of the setup process where you assign the TetherBox to your account / customers account and add in all of you cameras and network devices. There are 3 ways to activate your unit as covered bellow.
Activating a TetherBox from our website:
Go to the TetherX Website and press the "Activate Your TetherBox" button.

Login to TetherX
Press Admin (top right) > TetherBoxes
Press the "Activate New" button.
Activating a TetherBox from the serial sticker
The serial sticker is present on your TetherBox packaging, the TetherBox itself, inside of a provided quick start guide as well as on the drive inside of the unit. This serial sticker has a QR code to speed up the activation process.

2. Follow the instructions on screen.
Once on the Activation Page
2. If you scanned the QR code, the serial will be entered for you, otherwise: enter the serial number of the TetherBox you are activating.
The serial number is present on: The TetherBox itself, the original packaging, a provided quick start guide as well as on the drive inside of your TetherBox.
3. If this is a new customer, select the second tab named New Timeline, otherwise, select the existing account that this TetherBox is being added to.
Note: If you are replacing an existing TetherBox, please make sure you select an existing account where the previous TetherBox was activated.

4. If you are looking to add another TetherBox to an existing location, select the existing location option. Otherwise, if this is a new installation select "New Location" to create one.
Please choose the relevant option from the 2 remaining dropdown, this is used to tweak the default settings most suitable for the chosen environment as well as to drive the statistics dashboard on your account.
5. Tap Activate at the bottom of the screen to complete the activation.
Once your TetherBox has been successfully activated, you will receive an email confirmation with the details of your activation.
If you followed the steps above to "Replace an existing TetherBox" you will also receive a notification to let you know we have Factory Reset the previous unit.
