TetherBox automatic power-up on AC power restore (powercuts)

Introduction

All TetherBoxes are pre-configured to automatically power up after a power cut. You can test this by unplugging the power cable from your unit and plugging it back in. You will see the unit automatically powers up and starts operating.

If for any reason your unit is not doing this, please follow the instructions below to ensure this functionality is switched on.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Switch your TetherBox off by holding the power button for 5 seconds.


2. Plug in a display and a USB keyboard to your TetherBox.

3. Switch your TetherBox on and immediately start pressing the [Del] key on your keyboard until you see the BIOS screen.

4. Select [Main] > [Halt On].

5. Press enter and select [No Errors] from the dropdown:

4. Select [Chipset] > [Restore AC Power Loss].

5. Press enter and select [Power On] from the dropdown.

6. Press the F4 key followed by the enter key on your keyboard to Save and Exit.

7. Ensure everything is working correctly by unplugging the power cable, waiting 5 seconds and plugging the cable back in. The unit should power up automatically and boot. If the unit does not power up, please refer to this article.
