Our smaller units are designed to be quiet and power efficient. The power draw can increase slightly when viewing live view or when having many devices:
TetherBox - 4 to 6W
TetherBox Pico - 7 to 12W
Note: Plugging in an external spinning hard drive can increase the power draw by around 10W per hard drive.
