Using the Redesigned Navigation Bar

The navigation bar across Program and Institution Manager pages has a refreshed layout, with some pages relocated and two new icons added.

1. Understand what changed

While Core's navigation bar has a new look and structure, no workflows or page functionality have changed. Every page you used before is still available. The only change is the location or layout.

Before:

After:

Temporarily, users have the option to switch back to the classic navigation bar layout if desired (pictured in the Before image above). Users can switch back by selecting Switch back to classic in Thalamus, and can re-enable the new navigation bar at will after that using the same banner.

2. Try out the new navigation layout

When you log in, all program users will see a pop-up offering the new navigation bar. Click "Try it now" to turn on the new layout, or "Not now" to keep things as they are.

Once you've dismissed the pop-up (by clicking "Try it now" or "Not now"), you can toggle the new navigation bar on or off anytime from your user account menu.

  1. Select your account icon in the upper right-hand corner.

  2. Toggle the button on to enable the new navigation layout or toggle the button off to restore the current layout.
