Sometimes, we get questions like these:

"I am following the workout program, but it suddenly throws up that I need specific equipment that I don’t have. I have tried changing it for specific workouts on the settings, but I don’t seem to be able to change it permanently. Is there a way to do this?"

Yes! Here is how you can adjust the equipment inside the app.

  1. Change the overall equipment profile

First, head over to the settings menu, where you can create a permanent equipment profile. This profile helps us understand the equipment you consistently have at your disposal. We always encourage selecting as many equipment options as possible because many exercises can be adapted using everyday items around you.

For instance, you can replace a specific bench with any elevated surface you find nearby. Here is an article on how to replace your equipment with things around you.

However, it's important to be mindful that if you choose not to include items like rings or pull-up bars in your profile, you'll miss out on exercises that target crucial pulling movements. So, consider your choices wisely to get the most out of your workout plan.

Here is the workout setting inside the app:

2. Change the equipment "on the go"

The other way is to do it "on the go" when you have a workout, but you change the equipment for that workout because maybe this time you are working outside somewhere.

3. Need a temporary ONLY bodyweight alternative?

Just one more idea: if the progressive workouts are too frustrating equipment-wise, or you are traveling or you haven't bought a pull-up bar yet, try on-demand workouts that are just bodyweight. We are about to release On-demand training plans that include for example, a 4-week bodyweight training plan. The idea is to offer alternatives to progressive workouts.
