Frequently Asked Questions about what's changing in TRC's booking system!

Starting on Monday, September 2nd 2024 - TRC will be updating our Booking System and Studio Polices.

Booking System Updates - Highlights:

A 50% deposit is required in order to complete your reservation

There will no longer be an option to "pay for my reservation in full upon arrival"

A Recording Engineer's information will be required in order to complete your reservation

TRC Studio Policy Updates - Highlights:

Rescheduling a reservation, less than 48 hours in advance, will be considered a late cancellation.

Recording Studios can be booked online up to 96 hours in advance

FAQ:

Can I call or email TRC to book a reservation?

Yes! Of course you can! - All reservations booked over email or over the phone still require a 50% deposit in order to be submitted. Please have your payment info ready!

What if I am unable make payments online?

Until we are able to "perfect" this process, here's our solution for the time being:

We can utilize our Gift Certificate functionality. Essentially, we can accept a cash payment onsite, at TRC. Apply that cash payment to your user account. This will allow you to draw funds from the Gift Certificate code that is attached to your user account and submit reservations online with a 50% deposit. Rinse & repeat!

What if I do not have a recording engineer?

No worries! Select the checkbox "I need help finding an engineer" while filling out the reservation form. This will "bypass" the engineer info requirement and allow you to continue your booking. But wait, there's more!

Since all of our recording studio reservations require a TRC approved recording engineer, you are still required to provide us with your engineer's information within 48-hours of booking your reservation. If we do not hear from you, unfortunately we will have to cancel your reservation.

We strongly recommend sorting out your engineer's info before booking a reservation!

Am I going to be charged a fee if I reschedule my reservation to a later date?

It depends on when you reach out to us!

Rescheduling a reservation less than 48 hours in advance will be considered a late cancellation and you will forfeit your 50% deposit.

Why? Because we want the community to have access to our spaces - When users cancel or reschedule reservations last minute, it's hard to fill the unused time. We want everyone to show up for their reservation!

What if I am a Partner Org or an Institutional User?

Payment will not be required at the time of booking!

Both Partner Organizations and Institutional Users will be invoiced in full after the reservation(s) have ended
