Access

To access coaching sessions, you must firstly have the correct user roles. you will need Coaching Access user role.

To access the settings page in System which will allow you to make custom changes to your coaching syllabus, session plan layout etc, you will need Fitness Administrator and Performance Administrator user roles.
Your Club Administrator/Superuser can allocate user roles to you.

Adding a New Session

Locate the Coaching session builder via the main Nav bar usually found under Coaching, Preparation and/or Coaching & Games programme depending on what system you are using.

You will firstly see a list of the sessions that are on the system for This Week but you can use the filters to search for a different time frame, sessions added by specific users or sessions of a specific theme

To add a new session, click the 'Add New Session' link from the Related link section:

The session planner is split into 3 sections - Session Details, Activities, Objectives and Evaluations.

Session Details

Session Name and Duration are Mandatory fields - Duration is used on the schedule.

Date/Time - Needed for the schedule

Location - A drop down list of training locations (This is populated in System by your Club Administrator/Superuser

Surface Type - Can be automatically linked to a location when the location is added to your system - Sometimes a Mandatory field for Injury Surveillance reasons

Theme - Session themes can be used to further categorise a session. (These are populated in System under the Performance Settings. You will need Performance Administrator user role to access these settings)

Fixture - You can tag a fixture to your sessions. The fixture must be on the system in the Fixtures section. This allows you to run a report on the sessions that took place for a particular fixture

Activities

This is the section where you can add the activities / drills to your session plan.

The multiple activity panel allows you to add multiple activity slots quickly if for example you know your session is to have 4 activities within it, you can add 4 slots at once.

When the activity slots are open you will see fields that allow you to select the Activity Type and Topic (These are populated in System > Performance Settings)

You can select who is taking part in each drill using the Participants field. You can select players from multiple teams within the system

You can select the coach(es) who are taking each activity.

Add the duration of each activity. The activity name, duration and participant are the important fields for consequent Player reports including the PMA Performance Clock.

You can add an Intensity figure to each drill which are used when calculating Workload figures for each player (Duration * Intensiy/RPE)

Drill Diagrams can be added from your library (See Drill diagram User Guide) or you can click the 'Create new drill diagram' link to be redirected to the diagram building tool. These are purely coaching aids and can be used if you are planning to use the Session Plan printout.

Finally, there is an additional 'Manage Notes' button to allow you to add any coaching notes you wish to make. Again these can be viewed on the Session Plan.

Objectives & Evaluations

The final section is a place to add any Objectives and/or Evaluations of the session -

Session Objectives can be further broken down in to subcategories if you wish and pre-populated with set objectives from a list your club as created (These are populated in System > Performance > Manage Session Objectives).

Saving

Saving progress regularly is advised especially if you are leaving your work station. You can Save and Continue to save and stay on the page or Save and Exit to save and return to the coaching session home

OTHER FEATURES

From the cog on the right hand side of each session there are launch points to further features:
