The Match Hub is designed to help record:

  • Team Selection

  • Game time played and in what position

  • Goals Scored and Disciplinary information

  • Goal Scoring Analysis (Football Clients only)

To access the match hub, go to the Fixtures page usually found under Competition/Games Programme area's of the navigation bar.

From the cog menu on the right-hand side you will see 'Match Hub' as an option

If you do not see any fixtures on the page, please refer to the Fixtures user guide here

Once in the match hub, you must complete:

  • Duration

  • Surface type

  • Pitch Size (Football clients)

  • Coach

  • Fixture Rating -Optional field (Needs setting up in System by your Club Administrator / Superuser)

Once you have completed the mandatory fields, Click Update Fixture.

You can now start to populate the Team Selection Grid.

Team Selection Grid

Depending on your sport type, you may see various options in your Format and Formation options. Formations can be added to if needed (refer to the Formations user guide)

On the right-hand side, you will see a panel for available players which includes a team picker. This also shows you further information:

  • Primary position

  • Number of appearances they have made this season

  • The % of minutes they have played in regards the minutes they have been in a selected fixture to how many they have played

  • Game grade - (the latest and average) that player has scored (from Learning Objectives)

To add players to the Team Selection Grid, simply drag the players from the Available players list on to the positional slot. When the slot highlight in Green, release

Continue until you are happy with your formation and selection.

You have substitution slots underneath the pitch view for replacement players.

This page auto-saves on each change the user makes

You can also add multiple periods to your fixture if required by clicking the 'Add Period' option for those that require multiple team selections for 1 fixture i.e. Foundation Phase football.

Further options

From the cog menu on the top right of the Team Selection Grid you will see options to:

  • Save Line Up - Save the current line up for future fixtures

  • Load Line Up - Load a previous team selection and formation

  • Copy team selection and formation from the last fixture in the database

  • Copy team selection from previous periods (if using multiple periods)

  • Reset the team selection grid

Game Time Recording

PLEASE NOTE: There is a setting that allows the Game time to be auto-calculated based on the Match duration and any substitution changes you make on the team selection grid.

If you click on the Game Time Grid and cannot manually change game time played, this option will be switched ON for your team. Speak to your club administrator / superuser on whether you can change this.

WITH AUTO-GAME TIME ON

  • With the auto-game time setting ON, when you add a match duration and the Team Selection, you will see on the Game Time Grid that each starting player now receives the full match duration

  • To adjust the minutes that each player played (including substitutes) you must use the Team Selection Grid. You can also switch a players position if he played more than 1 in the same game

Substitutions

You can make substitutions in the following ways:

  • Drag a Starting player on to the timeline at the correct time of the change. A pop up modal then appears that allows you to select which player was the replacement. You can also edit the time of the change if you didn't quite get it right on the timeline

  • Drag a substitute on to the timeline at the correct time of the change. A pop up modal then appears that allows you to select which player will be replaced. You can also edit the time of the change if you didn't quite get it right on the timeline

  • Drag a starting player to the substitute who will be the replacement. A pop up modal then appears which requires you to complete the time in the match of the change

  • Drag a Substitute player to the player he/she will be replacing. A pop up modal then appears which requires you to complete the time in the match of the change

  • You can also use the substitution icon (shown below). Either drag that on to the timeline or on to the players to activate the substitute modal to complete the change

For each one of these methods, you will notice the pattern of selecting who is being replaced, by whom and at what time in the match the change happened. After making a change, go to the Game Time Grid and see the minutes for each player will be automatically calculated.

Example - For a 90 minute match - I drag a starting player 'Player 1' on to a substitute player 'Player 12' - I complete the time of the change at 60 mins - When I look at the Game Time Grid Player 1 has a total of 60 mins whilst Player 12 has a total of 30 mins played.

Positional changes

You can record if a player played in more than 1 position. You can record up to 1 positional change per player.

You can make positional changes in the following ways:

  • Drag the position change icon (shown below) on to the timeline at the correct time of the change. A pop up modal then appears that allows you to select the new position the player moved to and the time of the positional change. You can also edit the time of the change if you didn't quite get it right on the timeline

  • Drag the position change icon on to the player. A pop up modal then appears that allows you to select the new position the player moved to and the time of the positional change.

After making changes to the positions of players you will notice the Game Time Grid displays the time played in each position automatically.

Example - For a 90 minute match - Player 1 starts the game at Left Back. At 60 mins he/she was moved to play Right Back - The Game Time Grid now displays Player 1 played 60 mins at Left Back and 30 minutes at Right Back.

WITH AUTO-GAME TIME OFF

All team selection functionality is the same as above including substitution and positional change functions

The main difference is that now you must complete the Game Time Grid as well. Under each positional slot, you must enter the minutes played for each position for each player.

If a player played 2 positions, you must use the 2 positional slots to record the time played in each position.

Other Features

Game Grade

There is an option for you to give a player grading from the Game Time Grid. These are visible by staff users only and the grading scale can be altered in the Performance Options (ask your club administrator or contact your client manager for details).

You can use this to record when Goals have been scored, by whom and at what time by dragging the football icon on to the timeline OR the player who has scored. You will then see the pop up modal to complete the details.

In the same pop up modal, you will see a 'Scoring Analysis' collapsed panel. Click that to display the further analysis that can be made on each Goal.

  • The options for Goal Type, Goal Category and Scoring Position are all populated in System > Performance tab > Scorer Goal Types, Scorer Goal Categories, Scorer Positions (You must be a Performance Administrator to see these options). 'Assisted by' shows a list of players assigned to the match.

You can also Analyse Goals Conceded > to do this you need to drag the football icon on to the timeline > in the pop up modal, check the option 'Against'. You can now analyse Goal Type, Goal Category and Scorer Positions (same options as Goals For). You can also record who was at fault from the list of players assigned to the match and Goal Cause.
