Access

To access the recruitment module, you must firstly have the correct user roles. You will need Succession Access and Add/Modify Target Players and Match Line Ups user roles. You will also need to be assigned to the recruitment teams and age groups which you are recruiting for. Your club administrator can allocate user roles for you and assign you to the relevant recruitment teams/age groups.

Locate the pages from which to add a new player to the database via the main Navigation Menu – usually found under Recruitment, depending on what system you are using.

Adding a new player

In the Nav bar, you should see a Add Target Player, Click on this link to be taken to the ‘Add Player’. Click on this link to be taken to the ‘Add Player’ page.

Player Details

When you add a new player, there will be a number of fields based on the players information which you will be able to complete (as a club/organisation you decide what these fields are). There are some mandatory fields which are marked and highlighted accordingly and you will not be able to add a new player without completing these.

You will fill in the relevant details for the player and at the bottom of this form, click to Add Player, this player will then be available for you to search in the database and build out the players profile.

Players Age Group or Team to recruit for

When adding a player to the database, you will see two fields – Recruit for Team and Recruit for Age Group. You must complete one of these fields and you will see in this drop down that you only have teams / age groups which you have been assigned to recruit for.

If you believe that you need additional teams / age groups, please speak to your club administrator.

Modifying a players recruitment status

When you are adding a new player, you must select a recruitment status. There is an additional user role (usually for heads of recruitment or recruitment managers) which allows you to choose the recruitment status of the player. If you do not have this user role, this will be greyed out with the default option selected.

If you wish to see further information regarding the process for putting a target player on trial at your club please see guide here.

Comments

There is a standard comments box within the form for adding a new player. Placing a summary in here on the player, will allow you to hover over a player in the database to get a pop up with this information so you can quickly see and access key information without going in to a players record.

Linking of Scouts

When adding a new player to the database, one of the options allows you to link a player to other scouts. Because scouts can often only see players they have added, if you need another scout to have access to this player, you will be able to select the scout(s) from the drop down list.

Player image

If you have a player image which you would like to upload to the system, you will be able to select the image from your tablet, phone or laptop file.

Saving

Once you are happy with the information you have added for the player, click to ADD PLAYER which option at the bottom of the form.

Duplicate Players

Upon adding a player to the database, if the system believes there is already a player matching the player you are trying to add (forename, surname, date of birth), you will be provided with a pop up which will allow you to confirm (you will then be linked to the existing player) or decline and add this player as a new player.

OTHER FEATURES

Once you have added a player to the database, you will be able to build out a player profile.

Under the recruitment module from the navigation menu, there are a couple of links which let you view/add players whilst also a Player Search which will allow you to search for players based on more specific criteria.

Once you have searched and filtered on the players, you will see your list of players which you have access too.

Clicking on the cog wheel of a player will then allow you to complete several key actions including:

  • Editing the players details

  • View the players summary page

  • Adding a note against a player

  • Adding an assessment report against a player

  • Adding a video against a player

  • Adding an attachment against a player
