Introduction
There are 2 Medication Databases available to use in Sports Office.
The first one is a global list of medications (We can be add medications to this list if you contact us from either the support chat bubble or your TSO support email).
Or, if you wish to use your own bespoke medications list and monitor / manage that stock, you could use our Medication Manager. For a guide on setting that up, please see HERE.
Prescribing Medications
Within SOAP Notes
You can prescribe medications directly against an Injury or Illness via the SOAP note of said problem.
In the SOAP note itself, once you are happy with the note content > click Add and Continue
The ‘Medications’ tab becomes active > select it
If Medication Manager is set up, you will have the option to 'take from Stock' or choose from the Global Database ('Not from Stock')
Complete the required fields and click ‘Add medication’ from the bottom right
Go back to the SOAP note tab to finish saving the entry either 'edit locked' or 'edit unlocked'
If the SOAP note is left unlocked, you can ‘Edit’ the medication entry by editing the SOAP note > Selecting the Medications tab > Click 'edit' against the Medication
If using the Medication Manager, the Stock Quantity is removed from the Total Quantity of that medication. This allows you to manage your stock levels
From the Medical Team Status Page
If the medication is not for a specific problem, you can Prescribe both Medications and Vaccinations from the Team Status page using either:
The ‘Prescribe’ launch point or
The 3 dot Ellipsis menu at the end of a player
Once on the Prescribe page:
Choose whether you are using your Stock manager or not
Complete the fields as required
OPTIONAL: You can state if the Medication has been ‘Issued by’ another practitioner even though you are adding it to the Sports Office database
OPTIONAL: You can make the medication ‘Private’ which means that only you will see the medication
Click 'Add Medication' to save
You can edit / delete medications that you have prescribed if they were made in error. Deleted meds stay in the 'Deleted Additional Medications' tab for legal reasons.
NOTE: This page will only show Active, Expired and Deleted Additional Medications that were allocated through the ‘Prescribe’ option. It does not show medications added through SOAP notes.
Reporting
If you are using Medication Manager, you can use the Medication Manager page to report on Medications Issued, Expired, Wasted and Used.
If you are using the Non stock method (or a mixture of both Stock and Non Stock) you can find the Medications, Vaccinations and Nutritional Supplements Issued report in the ‘Medical Reports’ area found in Medical.
Simply complete your report criteria
Click ‘Apply Filter’ to run report
