If you use your prepaid Visa or Mastercard to purchase something from a merchant and then need a refund, then the refund will be added back to the card balance.

Usually it takes a few days for the balance to become available after the refund is processed. If the refund does not appear within that time, then you should follow up directly with the merchant.
