Where is Thriva available?
Thriva is currently only available for residents of the UK.
Unfortunately, we can't process international orders. Orders placed for delivery outside the UK will be cancelled and a full refund will be processed.
We're currently unable to process orders to:
Jersey, Guernsey and the Channel Islands
Republic of Ireland.
Can my child use Thriva?
Thriva is available to all adults in the UK. Thriva can only be used by adults and we're unable to process tests for anyone under the age of 18.
Please note that an account can not be created for someone under the age of 18. It's a breach of our terms and conditions to attempt to circumvent this restriction, and we have internal procedures in place for handling such instances.
If you're looking to run tests on a child, you should always consult your GP.
I have a physical disability — how can I easily collect my sample?
Hint: Get your blood pumping in a way that feels right for you!
Thriva is working to become the world’s first preventative health service, and we want everyone to be a part of that journey.
Our sample collection guide recommends skipping on the spot and standing up to make sample collection as easy as possible. Having a physical disability may make this difficult.
The most important thing here is to get your blood pumping. You can do that in any way that works for you.
We’d recommend giving the options below a try:
Swinging your arm in circular motions
Continuously clenching your hand into a fist.
Can I test if I'm sick or pregnant?
All of our blood tests are safe for pregnant women but you should leave a note in your health profile to notify the doctor who reviews your results.
If you're sick, it's best to wait until you've recovered to get the best results from your test.
We're a lifestyle tracking service, rather than a diagnostics one. So if you're seriously ill, you should seek medical attention from your doctor instead of trying to diagnose any problems using a Thriva test kit.
I'm transgender, can I still use Thriva?
Hint: yes, you can!
Thriva is working to become the world’s first preventative health service, and we want everyone to be a part of that journey. So if you're transgender, of course you can use Thriva.
Our healthy reference ranges are currently split by biological male and female sex. But if you add your gender and any relevant information into the open text boxes in your Health Profile, your reporting GP will use the correct pronoun when commenting on your results.
What if I'm transitioning, can I still use Thriva?
If you're transitioning, you can still do a Thriva test. There are just a couple of things to keep in mind.
Whilst we're working to become more inclusive, medical references currently lack significant bodies of research into healthy ranges for the transgender community.
This is because there are a number of variables which can affect the results, for example which hormone treatment you’re on and what stage you’re at in transitioning.
That doesn’t mean that you can’t do a Thriva test though. It just means that you need to keep in mind that some results (particularly for hormones) may be displayed as out of range.
As we're currently working to become a much more inclusive service, any further feedback you have on how we can do this would be greatly welcomed.
We always welcome suggestions about how we can be more inclusive, so please get in touch at hello@thriva.co.
