This article will guide you on how to sync your personal calendars with your My Thrive Calendar. Please expand each of the steps below to see the process for this. There are also some additional linked articles at the end, which may be of further help.
Sync + Add Availability
Sync + Add Availability
Yes, you still need to mark your availability in the Thrive calendar. Once your personal calendar (Outlook) is synced, any personal events will appear in Thrive and block out availability for conflicting times. However, Thrive won’t automatically consider every open slot in your Outlook calendar as available—you need to add your availability manually in the Thrive calendar first.
Buffer between personal and Thrive events
Buffer between personal and Thrive events
While automatically adjusting the buffer time for calendar integrations isn’t currently available, I agree that it could make things smoother, especially in avoiding back-to-back scheduling conflicts. Currently, this has to be done manually in your synced or Thrive calendar directly. This has already been shared with the tech team for future consideration.
Minimum scheduling window
Minimum scheduling window
Clients can book a session within 45min from the session start time. There is currently no option to change the minimum scheduling window. As a workaround, you might consider removing the remaining availability in the evening for the following day. This will help you avoid last-minute bookings until suck time where this can be a setting on the platform.
Recurring availability
Recurring availability
Currently, MyThrive does not offer an automated option to set up recurring availability. Availability still needs to be added manually for the following weeks/months. However, we understand the need for efficiency, and we're exploring improvements to streamline availability management, like setting working hours in advance for extended periods. We recommend adding blocks of availability for a few weeks ahead, and we’ll keep you posted if a recurring availability feature becomes available in the future.
Sync one calendar only (not linked items to the linked calendar)
Sync one calendar only (not linked items to the linked calendar)
The current preview only allows syncing one calendar at a time with your Thrive calendar. You can choose between syncing a Google, Microsoft, or iCloud calendar, but multiple calendar syncs are not yet supported.
Sync of personal event titles
Sync of personal event titles
Rest assured, only the event title, start time, end time, and free/busy status are synced from your calendar to MyThrive. Descriptions or other data are not synced. While the event title could potentially contain personal information, it is only visible to you in the MyThrive platform. None of your clients can see these details. To them, you will simply appear as "unavailable." Additionally, the Thrive team can only view free/busy information, not the specific event titles or details.
Event titles are stored in the Thrive database to ensure you can access this information through your calendar view. However, this information is protected by industry-standard controls, including encryption both in transit and at rest, as well as strict access controls.
We have comprehensive measures in place at all times, including encryption, access control, and other industry-standard security practices designed to safeguard your data at all times.
If you are uncomfortable with the level of detail being synced, you can choose to unsync your calendar at any time, which will remove your personal event data from MyThrive altogether.
