Advanced: Creating a Content Bank

Learn how to create a Content Bank to improve the accuracy of grading and feedback suggestions

Updated this week

What Does Content Bank Do?

Content Bank lets you upload various course materials to give our AI a richer context for grading and feedback. This enhances feedback quality, refines grading suggestions, and deepens the AI’s understanding of your assignment.

What types of files can you upload?

We recommend uploading files like the course syllabus, high-scoring exemplar papers, grading guidelines, lecture slides, and reading materials to help build this context.

💡 Supported file types: .pdf, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx and .csv

How to Create a Content Bank

1. In the General Assignment Details section of the assignment setup, look for the Content Bank and click the "+ Add File" button.

2. Select the files you'd like to add to the content bank and click "Upload."

3. Select a resource type from the dropdown, and describe which parts of the file TimelyGrader should focus on to help inform grading and feedback suggestions.

💡Note: If you don't see a resource type that corresponds to the document you are adding, select "Other."

4. Click "Save" to add the files to your content bank. You can always add additional files by clicking "Add file" or edit existing files by clicking the pencil button.

💡 Important: The files are now linked to your assignment’s Content Bank, but they won’t be saved permanently until you publish or save the assignment.
