This feature is available to schools only.
The daily play limit controls how long students can spend playing games outside school hours each day (outside school hours includes before and after school, weekends and school holidays, but not public/bank holidays).
The limit is set for the whole school by a member of staff.
Example
If the school sets the limit to 15 minutes, a student can spend up to 15 minutes playing games outside school hours that day.
School day - a total of 15 minutes before/after school on a school day
Weekend or school holiday - a total of 15 minutes over the day.
How to turn it on:

Do students need to use up their limit in a single session?
No, the daily play limit doesn’t need to be used in one sitting. Playing time is added up across the day, so students might use some of their allowance before school and the rest after school, or across several sessions at weekends or during school holidays.
Does the play limit apply during school hours?
No, students can play for an unlimited amount of time during their school's defined school hours. Gameplay during school hours does not use any of their daily allowance.
Example
If a student plays for 20 minutes during a lesson and then logs in again from home, they will still have their full out-of-school allowance available.
When do school hours apply?
Your school's normal hours and term dates are set in Admin > School settings.
School hours can be different on different days of the week. Public holidays during term time are still treated as school days.

What happens when a student reaches their daily play limit?
Once the student is 1 minute away from hitting their limit, Baz will appear on screen and let them know the next game will be their last:
Once they hit their limit, Baz will appear again to explain it's now time to stop playing.
Note: We do not stop a student halfway through a game.
If they try and play another game, they'll find the "Play" button has been replaced by a message from Baz:
If the student tries to start another game, they will see the same message.
Once the limit is up, are students blocked from TTRS?
The limit applies to gameplay only. Students can still access other parts of Times Tables Rock Stars, including:
their stats;
leaderboards;
the avatar shop;
other non-game areas of the site.
Can students see how close they are to hitting their limit on any day?
Yes, if you have set a daily activity limit, students will have a Digital Wellbeing section added to their main menu as shown:

Once they hit their limit, they see a message from Baz:
What happens if a student has a Session due?
If a student has an incomplete homework Session due that day, their daily play limit will automatically be extended where necessary so that they can complete it.
Teachers therefore do not need to increase the daily limit manually just because homework has been set.
This only applies to the daily play limit. The curfew works differently.
