Setting a curfew

Find out how to restrict playing hours outside of school time on Times Tables Rock Stars

Written by Karen Elkins

What is a curfew?

Setting a curfew will stop students from being able to login to TTRS outside of the specific hours that you choose.

It will run 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year.

It's a great tool to encourage healthy digital habits by guiding students to only use TTRS during school hours or in the early evening.

Important: Curfews affect the whole school, not just a particular class. So ensure you alert other teachers and ideally parents as well, that a curfew has been set.

How to set a curfew:

To set up a curfew for your school on Times Tables Rock Stars please:

  1. Head to Settings & Admin.

  2. Click the 'Curfew' Tab.

  3. Select 'Active'.

  4. Choose the start and end time of when you would like pupils to be able to log in.

  5. Select the correct time zone.
