To be able to shift you safely we need you to start your timeshift when you are fully adapted to a time zone. As soon as you depart, you will be exposed to light at the wrong times and probably sleep at the wrong times. This means that we have no way of determining the position of your circadian clock. Has it been manipulated to move forward or backward in time? If we were to make a plan without knowing your circadian position it might help you but might also harm you, making your jet lag worse. To be sure that what we do is safe for you, we therefore ask you to start your plans before you leave for your new destination. I know this will not help you now, but I hope you understand why we can't help you this time π
