In some situations we might give you a plan where you will go without sleep for many hours. This often happens when you have flights during the time you would normally sleep.
It might seem a bit tough to follow, but you will find that it is easier than it appears. Seeing light and using caffeine when indicated will help you stay awake. If you nap/sleep longer than planned or can’t stick perfectly to the plan, don’t be discouraged – the plan will still be helping you a lot. If you need to nap/sleep, try to do it at times where there is no light advice or orange light advice.
If you have a flight in the middle of the night, not using melatonin may help the app schedule more sleep, but then it will also slow down your shift.
