Answer
If you're seeing an error message about an amount check digit when scanning a barcode, it may be due to your barcode configuration in Toast Web. To check your settings, navigate to Menus > Settings > Barcode config. There are two options to resolve this error:
Change your Barcode Mask. Select the barcode mask with five amount digits and no amount check digit ((X)X PPPPP AAAAA C). This will enable you to use amounts that have three digits before a decimal point instead of just two digits.
Ignore the check digit. For the Validate that the check digit on the amount is correct? setting, select No, that digit will be ignored.
Alternatively, you can fix your embedded barcode printer to supply an amount check digit.
When importing your Toast Retail template, "Barcode: Check Digit Mismatch" is just a warning and will not stop an import.
