Configure Multi-Item Selection
Multi-item selection allows you to edit, void, repeat, or discount multiple items at the same time. This is a device-specific setting so that you can set up individual POS devices differently. For example, your Bar POS device may need to have the ability to multi-edit items, but your server Toast Go® 2 handhelds may need to have the speed of single select.
On the main menu of the Toast app on your POS device, select Device Setup from the Setup section.
Scroll down to the Order Screen settings and select Default Item Selection Mode.
Select Multiple Item Selection Mode.
Select Continue.
Individual Course Firing Using Multi Edit Course
When selecting multiple items on an order, you have the option to change the course of all selected items at once.
To take advantage of this feature, it is recommended that you set all of your items to the course named Held. Then create a course named Fire. Once the two courses are created, you can begin firing courses. To learn more, see Manage Course Firing Options.
