Understand the Pricing Structure
Sling's pricing is based on the number of users on the account. There are no base fees, hidden charges, or contracts.
A user is any profile added to an account and includes all system roles, including admin, manager, and employee.
For example: 1 admin + 2 managers + 17 employees = 20 users.
Users who have been deactivated or deleted do not count toward your user total.
All free accounts, excluding accounts created through Toast, are limited to 30 users. If your account has fewer than 30 users in total, nothing changes unless you attempt to add a 31st user. If you attempt to add a 31st user, you are prompted to either remove an existing user or upgrade to a Sling Premium or Business subscription.
If your account is currently on the Free plan and has more than 30 users in total, you may continue to use your account as it is. However, you cannot add additional users unless you upgrade to Sling Premium or Business.
Define a User
A "user" is any profile added to an account, including all system roles such as Admin, Manager, and Employee.
For example: 1 admin + 2 managers + 17 employees = 20 users.
Users who are deactivated or deleted do not count toward your total user count.
Choose Annual or Monthly Billing
To adjust your subscription, log in to your Sling account from the web at https://login.getsling.com, then go to your Billing page.
Note: Sling prices are in USD.
From the Dashboard, select your name in the upper right corner of the screen.
Select Account.
Select the Billing tab near the top left of the screen to view available billing options for Premium and Business subscriptions.
Monthly Plan
Monthly payments are billed automatically in advance using the card an admin adds to the account.
When an admin upgrades, Sling bills from the current date through the same date in the following month. Billing then continues on the same day each month.
Admins pay for the number of current active users on the account when they sign up for this billing option. Users include admins, managers, and employees.
Adding users adds a prorated amount to the next bill.
Removing users is reflected in the next month's bill as a credit for unused allotted time from when the user was removed.
You can cancel your subscription at any time and retain access to that subscription level until the end of the billing period.
Example scenarios:
January 1: You upgrade to Premium for 10 users (10 x $2) = $20/month.
You removed one user at the end of January. February is billed for 9 users, minus the unused days in January for 1 user.
You added 2 users in January. February's bill is for 12 users at $24 plus a prorated amount for the days in January when the users were added.
You upgrade to Business in January, so you are charged for the difference between the pricing tiers for the rest of the billing cycle.
Annual Plan
Admins pay for a number of seats based on the number of users on the account when they sign up for annual billing.
Adding users adds an extra seat, and the account is charged for the time between the current date and the end of the billing period.
Removing users does not generate a proration or credit.
Removing and then adding users does not lead to extra charges as long as the net change does not exceed the number of seats originally purchased.
You can cancel your subscription immediately or at the end of the billing period. Unused time is not refundable if you cancel an annual billing subscription with time remaining in the year.
Annual billing includes a 15% discount on the per-employee price.
Example scenarios:
January 1: You pay for 10 users for the year (10 users x 12 months x $2, less the 15% discount) = $204.
You removed one user at the end of January. There is no billing change, and you now have 9 users on the account.
You add 2 users on April 1, so you now have 11 users on the account and have already paid for 10. You are charged for one additional user for 9 months ($15.30).
You upgrade to Business in June, so you are charged for the difference between the pricing tiers for the rest of the year (11 users x 6 months x $2, less the 15% discount) = $122.20.
Review Free Plan Limits
All free accounts, excluding accounts created through Toast, are limited to 30 users.
If your account has fewer than 30 users, no changes are required. If you attempt to add a 31st user, you will be prompted to remove an existing user or upgrade to a Sling Premium or Business subscription.
If your account is currently on the Free plan and already exceeds 30 users, you can continue using the account as is. However, you cannot add additional users unless you upgrade to a paid subscription.

Upgrade a Subscription
To activate a new subscription, Sling requires you to select an upgrade and enter your payment details.
You must be an admin on the account to complete these steps, and you cannot upgrade from the mobile app.
Note: Toast + Sling integration accounts do not upgrade in this way. To upgrade to Scheduling Pro, visit your Toast Shop and add Sling Pro to your locations.
To upgrade your account:
Log in to your Sling account from the web.
Select your name in the upper right corner and select Account.
Select the Billing tab.
Select the option to purchase a new subscription.
Select the subscription you want to use: Premium or Business.
Select the billing cycle you prefer.
Enter your payment method information.
Review your plan details.
Enter your billing address to complete the purchase.
Each subscription type includes a summary of the features available with that plan.
Pause a Subscription
If your business is seasonal, or you do not want to use Sling's paid features for a period of time but plan to use your subscription again later, you can pause your subscription.
To pause your subscription, select your name in the upper right corner of the screen, then select Account from the drop-down menu.
You can only pause your subscription from the web version of Sling.
From the Account window, go to the Billing tab. In the Billing window, select the three-dot option button, then select Pause subscription.
Choose when you would like your paid subscription to resume.
You are also asked to choose a reason for pausing the subscription.
After you select Pause, a confirmation message appears showing that the subscription has been paused and that you will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing cycle. You will also see the date on which your subscription resumes.
You will also receive a Dashboard notification confirming that the subscription has been paused.
Downgrade or Cancel a Subscription
If you no longer need Premium or Business access, and you are an admin or manager on your company's Sling account, you can cancel your subscription from the web version of Sling at https://login.getsling.com. You cannot update subscription details using the Sling mobile app.
Note:
This process does not apply to Toast + Sling integration accounts.
Once you complete the cancellation process, you should see a notification in your Sling Dashboard stating that your subscription has been canceled. If you do not see this Dashboard notification, the process was not completed successfully.
To downgrade or cancel your subscription:
Log in to Sling on the web.
Select your name in the top-right corner of any page, then select Account.
Select the Billing tab.
Select the option to cancel your subscription. If you have a Business account, you can also choose to downgrade to Premium.
Review the summary of features you will lose if you downgrade, then confirm your selection.
Note: If payment has already been processed for the month, canceling your subscription does not refund that charge. You retain access to your subscription until the end of the billing cycle.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if my organization decides to downgrade from Business to Premium?
You can downgrade, but no refunds or credits are issued. Additional seats added to the account are still billed, but at the lower rate.
What if I cancel my subscription before the annual period is over?
You can cancel immediately or at the end of the annual cycle; however, we're not able to issue a refund for unused time.
If you cancel annual billing within the first month, Sling can issue a refund for the remaining time left in the billing cycle. Requests made after one month are not eligible for refunds.
Is there a set number of users I can add?
All free accounts, excluding accounts created through Toast, are limited to 30 users. If your account has fewer than 30 users in total, nothing changes unless you attempt to add a 31st user. If your account has more than 30 users on the Free plan, you may continue using it, but you cannot add more users unless you upgrade to Sling Premium or Business.
For paid accounts, Sling does not recommend exceeding 1,000 users because this can affect performance.
