Set Up Item-Based Rewards

You will use the Loyalty Settings page to switch from cashback to item-based loyalty rewards.
New and existing rewards will be offered in that form from that point forward.
You must select an item or item group, provide a reward name, and establish how many points are required to redeem the reward.
Any applicable item sizes or modifiers will also qualify for the reward.
Excluding modifiers or specific sizes from the discount:
Use “Exclude from Rewards? = Yes”
This also means $ spent on the modifier/size item itself will no longer apply to accrual and redemption on the modifier or item that it’s configured on.
Earn Rewards
Earning the reward remains the same as cashback rewards. When the restaurant configures its item-based reward, you may decide to change how quickly a guest earns points per dollar.

Redeem Rewards
In the initial release, guests will only be able to redeem an item-based reward via Toast POS (GFD, Kiosk, server-facing redemption) and Online Order V4.
Guests will see the reward in the same place where they traditionally see their cashback reward
Toast will apply a 100% discount to the item and any modifiers when redeemed
