How will I be notified when my billing preferences change, and who else receives these notifications?


Answer

The financial contact for a location will automatically receive an email whenever any billing preferences are adjusted.

This will include any changes to the bank account on file that received credit card deposits, as well as any changes in credit card fees. You should be informed that this is for added security and visibility on your end.

  • Financial contacts: Defined currently as any user listed as the financial contact in the contact settings page on Toast Web. (Email Type = Financial Emails)

  • Billing preferences: Bank account on file and in use for a particular type of payment - e.g. credit card deposit, credit card fees, Software as a Service (SaaS) fees.
