Category Weekly Summary
Your Category Weekly analytics give you at-a-glance and granular data on where you are spending on a weekly basis. Let's explore how to access your Category Weekly analytics and where to find the information you need.
To get started, first navigate to the Analytics tab in the left-hand navigation of xtraCHEF. From here, select the Category Weekly tab.
A Summary view of this data set will populate. This view displays month-to-date spending divided by category.
By default, Category Weekly will display the current month/week. However, you can review previous months by changing your date range by selecting the calendar icon towards the top-right corner.
After picking a new date range, select Refresh. You can also toggle between views by Period to Date or by Month to Date (your default view) using the slider in the top-right corner.
Summary View
The Summary view contains a pie chart and table, which each allow you to understand where your organization is spending the most money on a monthly basis. Use the pie chart to get a quick visual overview of what categories make up the majority of your spending.
This chart will continue to update each week as new data is added throughout the month. To view charts for completed months, select the month you'd like to see from the date picker in the top-right corner and select Refresh.
Below the pie chart, you'll find a spreadsheet with your weekly spending divided by category.
To get more insight into any week's data, simply select the week header column. This will take you from the Summary view to Week view. You can also select the Week header and icon.
Week View
In Week view, you'll find your per-day cost broken down by category and vendor.
To drill down even deeper, select either a date or a vendor to bring up an Invoice Item Details view.
Invoice Item Details View
Your Invoice Item Details view will provide a complete, granular breakdown of spending for a particular day. To view any invoice, simply select the View icon within the View column.
This will give you insight into your weekly spending with that particular Vendor or Date depending on your selection. Use your Category Weekly spending data to track how your spending changes over time, understand which are your highest-ticket items, and get ahead of any concerning trends in real-time.
