Can my runners mark food as delivered on the KDS screen while an order is still being fulfilled?
Answer
Yes! If your restaurant uses the Kitchen Display System (KDS) for an expediter screen, food runners can individually mark items as fulfilled to indicate they have been delivered to guests. This makes it easier to track items that are delivered at different times. This feature is especially useful for dim sum and tapas restaurants where food is brought out as it's ready. The green fulfillment icon with a double checkmark (shown below) indicates that an item has been fulfilled a second time after being completed– either by a prep station or by Expediter 1, depending on your kitchen setup.
