Get Started With the 7shifts Integration

Enable the 7shifts integration with Toast to simplify scheduling & team communication, sync employee information, and track sales and labor

Enable 7shifts With Toast

7shifts is a mobile, cloud-based scheduling and labor management platform for restaurants trusted by 500,000 restaurant professionals and 4500+ Toast users with integration available through Toast Partner Integrations. If you subscribe to 7shifts, follow the steps below to integrate 7shifts with Toast POS.

To enable the integration of 7shifts with Toast, you must start in your 7shifts account. Then, you must add the 7shifts integration in Toast Web using Toast Partner Integrations.

  1. Beginning in your 7shifts account, navigate to Apps & Integrations in the left rail.

  2. Enter Toast in the search bar and select the Point of Sale box.

  3. Select Copy to copy your unique 7shifts Partner Group ID.

  4. Select Connect to Toast to be redirected to your Toast Web login page.

  5. Log into Toast Web and navigate to Integrations > Integrations management > Browse & purchase integrations.

  6. Enter 7shifts in the Search field and select Add Now.

  7. Review the data scope visibility terms and conditions and select Confirm to accept. See the Data Scope Visibility article for more information.

    1. Note: Your restaurant must have access to Toast Partner Integrations to add this integration.

  8. Select the gear icon to add your Partner Group ID.

  9. Enter your copied Group ID into the blank space. Then select Apply.

  10. Now, navigate back to your 7shifts account to complete the rest of the integration setup.

  11. In 7shifts, navigate to Apps & Integrations > My Integrations > Toast.

  12. Select Connect a location.

  13. Choose your 7shifts location from the first drop-down menu. Then choose your Toast location from theseconddrop-down and select Connect to Toast.

  14. You have now finished setting up the integration you are ready to start using 7shifts with Toast!



Use 7shifts With Toast

Save time scheduling, effectively manage your labor costs, and streamline workforce communication from anywhere by combining the power of Toast and 7shifts for seamless integration.

7shifts pulls Toast's order data to populate their sales forecasting reports: When you link Toast POS with 7shifts, you can use 7shifts sales forecasting to build more labor-accurate schedules, helping you hit your labor targets and keep costs under control.

Projected sales: When creating future schedules, 7shifts automatically uses historical sales data to generate sales projections within the Labor Budget tool. This feature enables more accurate scheduling, helping you stay within budget and achieve your labor targets.

Actual sales: Actual (net) sales data for the current and future days will initially be empty until sales data is received. Once the sales numbers are synced from the POS, they will appear under the corresponding days within 7shifts.

7shifts pulls Toast clock-in and clock-out information: With your 7shifts and Toast integration, you can view your employee's time clocking entries from Toast Web within 7shifts. In addition, you can export this time clocking data to any of Toast's payroll integrations.

7shifts sends employee shift data to Toast for clock-in enforcement: With Punch Enforce, employees cannot clock in significantly before or after scheduled shifts without manager approval. Restaurants can set a grace period for this within Toast. See Customize Time Clock Options for more information.

Employees created in Toast can be mapped to existing 7shifts employees: Automatically create a new employee in 7shifts when you add them to your Toast POS system. Streamline your employee onboarding process by eliminating the need to enter employee information twice.
