With Toast Invoicing, what do I do if my guest calls and wants to pay for their invoice or deposit via phone or in person?

With Toast Invoicing, your guests can receive online payment links via email.

If your guests would like to make a payment via phone or in person, you can enter their payment in Toast Web. Please follow the steps mentioned below to proceed.
If your guest is paying with a check, follow the instructions in this Toast Central article: Apply a Check Payment With Toast Invoicing.
If your guest is paying with a card, please follow these steps:
In Toast Web, navigate to the Payments section.
Under the Payment methods section, select Customer invoices.
Then, select the open invoice that you would like to apply the payment to.
Once the invoice has been selected, select Actions > Enter payment.
Then, scroll down to the Payment section, and select Credit card > for the payment type.
Enter the amount to be charged in the Amounts field.
Then, enter the guest's credit card information such as card number, expiration date, security code, and ZIP code.
Select the Process payment button.
Note: Once the payment is processed, the invoice's status will automatically change from Open to Paid.
