How can I adjust a credit card payment for an order with an open balance from a day prior?

If the payment has already been captured, it cannot be updated. Any due balance will need to be paid with a new payment, even if it is the same card. If the guest is not available to pay the remaining due balance, you may need to discount the remaining balance to close the check.
