Once you’ve created an Assembly, you can apply it to your takeoff by assigning it to a classification. This allows Togal.AI to automatically calculate the right materials and quantities based on your measurements.
How to Assign an Assembly
Open the Edit Classification Modal
In the Quantities panel, right click and select Edit to open the classification window for the item you want to assign an Assembly toClick on the Assemblies Tab
Inside the modal, select the Assemblies tab
Here you can select the Assembly to apply
Apply one or more Assemblies to the same classification if needed
Check for Required Properties
Some Assemblies use formulas that depend on certain values, like heightIf your Assembly requires a height, go to the Basic Properties tab in the classification and make sure a height value is entered
Once applied, Togal.AI will use your selected Assembly to calculate materials and costs based on the takeoff measurement. To review and export the calculated quantities and costs, open the Export panel and see viewing assemblies data in the export panel.
