Togal's Quantities Panel

The Quantities Panel is your primary interface for managing and understanding the data you generate. It’s a real-time, interactive list that sits alongside your drawing in the Editor. It allows you to create, view, and edit classifications; view takeoff quantities; organize classifications into groups; and sort/filter, and search for specific classifications.

To use the Quantities Panel:

  1. Create Classifications

    • Click on the + button to create a classification.

  2. Visibility Control

    • Easily show/hide all polygons or dimensions in the drawing by clicking "Show/Hide All".

    • To select all the polygons on the drawing click "De/Select All".

    • To show/hide a specific classification.

      • Each Classification and Classification Group has an eye icon
to show if it is visible. Left-click the eye symbol to show the layer and click again to turn it off.

      • To view only a single classification or group, hold "Ctrl" (or “Cmd” on Mac) and left-click the eye icon to quickly isolate it. Click it again with "Ctrl" (or “Cmd” on Mac) to restore the full view.

      • The Search bar lets you quickly filter and locate specific classifications by name. It makes it easy to isolate classifications or to toggle classification layers on and off, especially when working with multiple groups containing various classifications.

  3. Edit Classifications

    • To select all the polygons associated with a classification, left-click on the classification name, and all the polygons will be automatically selected.

    • Click the chevron icon to view the hierarchy of classification groups. It shows all the classification items. You can select individual polygons after expanding the classification group.

    • Click the classification icon to activate the crosshairs, and you'll see them as you move your mouse over the drawing. You can begin placing the takeoffs with it.

    • After selecting the classification or a specific polygon, right click, you can reassign items to a different classification using the menu that opens.

  4. Organize Classifications

Togal provides plenty of options for you to organize the classifications.

    • Sort allows you to organize your classifications and groups by different order, for example alphabetically, or by specific quantity.

    • Alternatively, you can manually drag and drop to re-order the classifications.

    • To better organize the classifications, you can create folders or add breakdown to assign quantities into structured groups for easier takeoff management and analysis.

    • You can place commonly used classifications into a library to reuse it in other projects.
