The relevance of closing events
As a software based on events, these represent a unique set-up, customization, and purpose. As seen previously in the article about event status, one of them is "Closed". We know so far that events are created by default on "Test" mode, and can be activated with a subscription. However, when the event is finished, it is important to close them properly once no further actions are required.
All subscriptions have their own event limit, the maximum amount of simultaneously active events on the website permitted. Learn more about this event limit below:
The difference between closing and exiting
Touchpix allows the option to exit an event without mandatorily closing it, so you can access various events to test them without passing through the difficult process of exiting by reinstallation. It is important to know what each of these options mean and how do they affect the event.
Closing event
This is a definitive action. Closing an event, means that you cannot interact with it any longer. The status is marked by the website, and your event manager list defines what is the status of the event.
Since subscriptions have a limit of simultaneously activated events, it is important to close the events once everything is done. Follow the next steps to ensure a proper event closing.
In your Touchpix app, tap the settings menu, in the top left corner.
Tap on "close event", and scan the event QR code to close.
You will be redirected to a closing screen without a few options, make sure to enable "close the event after exit".
(Optional) Review other possible options, such as "upload analytics", manage your queue in "manage uploads", delete photo and videos from device to free up storage by enabling this option or complete uploads to Google Drive and/or Dropbox.
When the option "close the event after exit" is enabled, the button at the bottom will show "exit and close the event". After tapping on it, the event will be fully closed.
