How to set up your event

Learn how to create, custom or preset, and set up your event with Touchpix

A brief introduction

Events are one of the fundamental pillars of Touchpix workflow. Each event has its unique settings, an individual web gallery, analytics for the sessions taken and much more functions. It is relevant to note how important it is to divide your events similarly on the website. You will create an event for each new one you have, to divide galleries and provide unique experiences.

All event details (gallery, uploaded files, settings, etc) are deleted 6 months after the creation date. You may back up your data before the indicated date on each event.

Extend the life of your event galleries one more year with our add-on 👇

* This add-on applies only to new events created while your subscription is active. Events created before activating the add-on will not be extended.

An event creation assistance. This set-up wizard walks you through a few steps to create your ideal booth in seconds.

  1. Name your event and choose your country

  2. Choose the type of booth you will be running

    • Photobooth

    • MirrorBooth

    • Video Booth

    • Full Booth

  3. Choose to agree to the Privacy Policy and GTaC (previosuly read)

  4. (Skippable) Use the default look, pick a theme, or customize your babckground

  5. (Skippable) Choose a template for your event. Each event type will have its own templates

After these few steps, your event will be created.

Create custom event (Quick event set up)

Start a new event from scratch, adding all your details from zero and customizing it in your own way. There are a few details you will need to input to create it, as listed below:

  • Name of the event*: Give your event a name to easily find it in your event list

  • Language*: Select the language your event will be in the app (more languages available in the app (FR, NL, IT, ID, HI, KR, DE, JA, AR, FL))

  • Country*: It is important to choose the correct country the event will take the place in, to establish the text/SMS provider. Once the event is activated, this setting cannot be edited.

  • Event description: Write a short description or notes for your event. This is hidden for the users

  • App protection: Protect the event settings with a passcode or the event QR code.

    • Important note: Make sure to remember the passcode, since there is no recovery available for it

  • Programmed Start & End Time: Set a time to start and end your event. The event will only be active during that period. Check more detailed information in this article.

  • Terms and conditions*: Read our Privacy Policy and our General Terms and Conditions, and tick this box when you agree to them.

* Mandatory fields

Create event from preset (Preset library)

Create a new event faster, with some predefined settings for your event. You can choose between different types of video and photo booths, as well as themed events. You can choose from either basic or themed, not both at the same time.

Once you select the preset you desire, confirm and add an event number and country. If needed, program a start & end time and agree to our Privacy Policy and General Terms and Conditions to finish creating it.

Create event from preset (My presets)

Duplicating events can be tedious, since events expire and may get lost over the time in your event list. Create your own presets and reduce time in your event creation.

  1. Hover the mouse to the hamburguer menu on the top right corner

  2. Click on my presets

  3. Cick on "create a preset"

  4. Fill in the form and create the preset

Once this preset is created, it cannot be activated per se, but you can create events from this preset by clicking on "create event from preset".

Once you have created a preset, you can find them in the same location, or after clicking "create new event", then "my presets".

Where to find old events

You can find expired and closed with limited functions, such as seeing the event number, name, creation date, status and QR code.

While in your event list, find it in the section "Old Events", at the bottom of the list.

To take into account

Some of the characteristics our events have and what to know about them:

  • All events are created in Test mode until activated with a device and a subscription.

  • Events can be created for free, even if there is no active subscription at the moment.

  • There is no limit of events you can create.

  • Touchpix will not charge when you create an event or if you activate it. Our product is based on a subscription service for a period of time.

  • All events can be tested for free on demo mode, with sharing, uploads and AI functions disabled, as well as a watermark. Use it to ensure compatibility with your devices and test the features and settings you added.

  • An expired or closed event is an irreversible action. Back up your data before the expiration date, and do not close an event until you are sure to do so.

  • Each event has its own unique QR code, which will be used to activate it, close it, and for the app protection, if enabled.

  • Each subscription type has its own limit of active events. For more details, read our article about the event limit.

  • Events can be duplicated, meaning you can create a copy of your event settings into a new one, which will not share event status to the one used to duplicate.
