In some cases, tournaments are played using teams that are created randomly. Often, these teams are not announced until the start of the tournament (or after the tournament). We call these blind draw teams.

In this article, we will discuss how to create, set up tournaments and flight blind draw teams.
Creating Blind Draw Teams:
Follow these instructions to create blind draw teams:
Go to Event/League > Event/League Profile > General Settings and ensure you have enabled the ability to create teams (as shown below).
Create pairings for the round where you'd like to create blind draw teams.
Navigate to the Blind Draw team page for the round:
For events/leagues with a single round: Go to Rounds > Blind Draw Teams.
For events/leagues with multiple rounds: Go to Rounds > Round Divisions/Flights/Teams > Manage Blind Draw Teams.
Click "Create New Blind Draw Teams."
Enter the name of the blind draw team list.
Select the team size (Can be a team size of 2, 3, or 4).
Select the team name format. Click "Next."
Flight Blind Draw Teams:
After creating your blind draw teams, as outlined above, you can also flight those teams if needed. To flight your blind draw teams, go to Rounds > Round Divisions/Flights/Teams > Manage Flights by Team. For complete details on flighting teams, Click Here.
Note: If your event only has one round and you would like to flight your blind draw team, add a second round, then you will be able to access the Round Divisions/Flights/Teams page.
Setting Up a Tournament Using Blind Draw Teams:
After creating a blind draw team list, you can then use it for a tournament. To do this, follow these instructions:
Go to Rounds > Tournaments > New Tournament.
Select the Blind Draw Team List in the "Teams or Groups" dropdown.
Select " The tee sheet may or may not be organized by team."
Finish selecting the remaining parameters for the tournament.
Save the tournament.
Below is an example of a best ball tournament using blind draw teams.
