Posting Round Scores to GOLF Link

Updated over 4 months ago

This feature is available for the following products:

Australian customers using GOLF Link to manage handicaps can easily post scores entered in Golf Genius back to GOLF Link. PCC Groups and their batches will be calculated, and will be submitted to GOLF Link. To enable this feature, you must first set up the GOLF Link integration.

Once the integration is set up, and scores have been entered for the day, go to Rounds > Post Scores to GOLF Link. You will then be directed to the Daily Register of Scores and Competition ( which can also be found by going to Customer Center > Data Analysis > Daily Register of Scores and Competitions).

On the top left, select the date of the PCC Groups that need to be submitted (as shown below).

Creating the PCC Groups and Batches:

Looking at all the rounds played that day (throughout all of your leagues and events), PCC groups will initially be created by:

  1. The course being played.

  2. The time being played (AM or PM). The cutoff is set in the Event/League Profile.

The batches within each PCC Group will be initially created by:

  1. Gender

  2. Tee

  3. Number of Holes Played (9 or 18)

  4. Tournament Type (Stroke Play or Stableford)

A separate batch will be created for each combination of parameters (as shown below).

Also notice that each Batch will have it's "Status" listed. If it is "OK" then all the players within that Batch have all the required information to be submitted to GOLF Link. However, this may not always be the case.

In the example above, the Blue Tee Batch has one player with missing information. To find out who the player is, and what information is missing, click on "Edit Players and Scores":

Edit Players and Scores:

When clicking on "Edit Players and Scores", you can view the individual details of all the player's within that batch. Furthermore, you can edit/override some of this information (as shown below).

You can override the individual Daily Handicaps, Score Status, and the scores. Keep in mind that changing the scores here will not affect the actual tournament results. These changes are used strictly for submitting batches.

Like discussed earlier, sometimes there is information missing for a player that is needed in order to submit to GOLF Link. When editing the Players and Scores, you can find the player and the missing information. In the sequence above, there is one player who is missing information. That would be Zullo, who is missing a Daily Handicap.

Moving Batches to Different Groups:

There may be cases where you'd like to manually move Batches to different PCC Groups after they've been initially created. To do this, click "Move to Different PCC" (as shown below) and select the PCC Group where the Batch is to be moved.

Remember that at this point, the Batches have not yet been submitted.

Recalculating PCC Groups:

Sometimes recalculating PCC Groups and their Batches is necessary. After the initial calculation, PC Groups and Batches do not change and update automatically if you make changes to the rounds (e.g., add players, change tees, change tournament type, etc). If you have made any of these changes after the initial creation of the PCC Groups and Batches, you need to click "Recalculate PCC Groups". Once recalculated, they will be updated and ready to submit.

Submitting Batches:

When the PCC Groups, Batches, scores, and other information is all correct and final, you can then submit the batches (as shown below). You can submit all the PCC Groups and their Batches all at once. You can alternatively submit the PCC Groups and batches independently.

After submitting, make sure to check the Status of these submissions.

If they highlight in red, a submission was not made. If you look above, both submitted batches were successful as you can see in the '"Status" column.

If you have submitted the Batches too earlier or by mistake, revert the submissions by clicking on "Unsubmit Batches". Make your changes, then submit again.

Viewing the Posted Results on GOLF Link:

The easiest way to find score posting results is to search the golfer in GOLF Link, navigate to the Handicap / Score History and see the submitted data and new handicap.

The posting will be identified as a Golf Genius scored post. See the example above.
