How to add a 27-hole course

Updated over 4 months ago

Q: How do I add a 27-Hole course?

A: There are three different combinations of 9s that can be played, so you need to enter 3 different 18-hole courses in Course Details. See below for more details.

Say for instance you have a Red Course, Blue Course, and White Course. You will need to create a Red/Blue Course, Blue/White Course, and White/Red Course. Adding the Slope Rating, Course Rating, yardage, and par to these courses is all very simple. However, adding the Handicap Holes takes some adjustments because each 9-hole course only lists Handicap Holes 1-9.

Above is the Red/Blue Course. The Handicap Holes need to be adjusted so that we have Handicap Holes 1-18 listed, rather than duplicates of 1-9. Remember that the front 9 has odd Handicap Holes and the back 9 has even Handicap Holes. For the front 9 holes, multiply the current Handicap Hole by 2, then subtract by one. For instance, Hole #1 is the #15 Handicap Hole (8x2)-1=15. For the Back 9 holes, multiple the current Handicap Hole by 2. For instance, Hole #10 will be the #6 Handicap Hole.

Above is the adjusted Handicap Holes for the entire Red/Blue Course. Once the Red/Blue Course is added, continue on to add the remaining two courses.

When entering these three courses, most facilities change the hole labels, which are displayed on the scorecards, leaderboards, and other areas.

Instead of being listed 1 thru 18, many 27-hole facilities change the labels to identify the 9-hole course each hole is on. In the screenshot above shows the Hilton/Davidson Course combo. For instance D4 is the 4th Hole on the Davidson 9.
